Discover the difference an hour of prayer can make in your life
Something changes when we commit to giving God a fixed time that belongs to Him each week. Rather than fitting God into our busy lives, we fit other things around the One who is the most important. When we do this, there is a greater power in our prayer, it’s easier to hear God, and we let Him do more of what He wants in our life.
Adoration:
Daily Hours:
The chapel is open daily from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm for all visitors. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance (Adoration) from Wednesdays at 9 am through Saturdays at 8 am. Additionally, Private prayer in the Chapel is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Please click here to gain after-hours access.
After-hours Access:
The chapel is open after-hours from 8:00 pm – 7:00 am.
To balance ease of after-hours access and the need for security, OLPH is using an electronic system called VIZpin that turns your cell phone into the key needed to gain entry after-hours.
A Special Note: Jesus is always present in the Chapel in the Eucharist. So even if you visit during hours when there is not yet Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, please know that He is there to meet you in prayer. The sanctuary lamps that burn on either side of the tabernacle indicate that Jesus is truly present.
I’d like to gain after-hours access.
Adorers:
Regular, weekly Adorers are asked to make a commitment to an hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament at the same day and time each week. Currently, Adorers are needed to fill Wednesday morning through Saturday morning hours. It is our goal that once these slots are filled, we will offer expanded Adoration time-slots for Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning. Once these days are filled, Monday and Saturday-Sunday hours will become open.
I’d like to sign-up as an Adorer.
FAQ:
Perpetual Adoration is the worship of Jesus in the Eucharist around the clock, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Catholics unite in taking hours of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, both during the day and throughout the night, seven days a week.
God gives the Church the Sacraments because He wants to interact with us physically as well as spiritually. Having Jesus visible in the Monstrance allows for a more personal experience of Christ in the Eucharist. Similar to visiting a friend in person rather than connecting by phone or email, spending time with Jesus present in the monstrance is a true, one-on-one experience.
