Go out and Bring Jesus to Others: An Invitation from Bishop Andrew Cozzens

Most Rev. Andrew Cozzens, Diocese of Crookston Chairman of the Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis

It was a great honor to welcome Bishop Andrew H. Cozzens of Crookston, Minnesota, on November 12, 2023; who is the chair of the USCCB Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis, where, on behalf of the bishops, he is leading a three-year National Eucharistic Revival.

Each week, a new nugget of information will be offered to educate, inform, or remind us of the true teaching of Jesus in the Eucharist. We will draw from Eucharistic Miracles, quotes from saints, videos, and the Catechism, rotating our sources through the month over this next year.

Events

On Sunday, June 2nd, following the 11 am Mass, we hosted the 3rd annual Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession. This special event allowed us to experience the profound presence of Christ in the Eucharist as we walked together in procession. We journeyed outdoors, pausing at four altars for prayers and songs, culminating with benediction. Afterward, everyone gathered in the gym for delicious food and warm fellowship. This beautiful celebration of faith and community welcomed all to partake.

Group Studies

While many small groups jumped into Bishop Barron’s The Eucharist Study, we offered a parish-wide Small Group Study on Jesus and the Eucharist. This 7-week small group study was provided through the Augustine Institute. Future studies centered on the Eucharist will launch in the upcoming months.

We are excited to offer 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory to all members of the OLPH Parish Community, with 250 books available the weekend of September 28/29.

Pick up the book and begin your 15-minute daily routine the week of October 7. The participant guide will help you each day along the way, and you can choose to join a weekly small discussion group. Our spiritual pilgrimage will culminate with Eucharistic Consecration on the weekend of November 24, Christ the King. Consecration allows us to devote ourselves to God and open our hearts to His Will for our lives.  The study and consecration continue our commitment to the Eucharistic Revival and our parish’s dedication to the Sacrament of Mass and His True Presence in our Adoration Chapel.

We are excited about this chance for our parish to experience an explosion of Grace and a newfound relationship with Jesus in the Eucharist, and we invite you to be a part of this amazing journey, for the Lord will always amaze us.
