Thanksgiving Box Program
Fill a box to help a family in need!
Once again, our St. Vincent DePaul/OLPH Outreach Ministry is sponsoring the annual Families Helping Families Thanksgiving Program.
We anticipate that the need for donations will be even greater this year due to COVID and the loss of jobs by so many people. Our goal is to make donations to all the organizations we have in the past; however, this will only be possible with your support.
Monetary donations are also appreciated. Pick up empty boxes in the narthex the weekend of November 6 and 7.
Filled boxes should be brought back to church the following weekend of November 13 and 14.
In order to ensure that the boxes are distributed timely, boxes MUST BE RECEIVED BY NOON on November 14. Purchase the items on the grocery list noted below. Tape the bottom of the box. If there is still space in the box, please add other canned non-perishable items, such as peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna, cereal, soups, etc. If you have additional items to donate that don’t fit in the box, please put them in a separate bag. PLEASE BE SURE TO SHUT BOXES MUST BE TAPED SHUT. We will not be checking each box to ensure that everything is included or to look for the checks.
Checks should be made payable to OLPH in the amount of $25.00. Please put the check-in in an envelope and tape the envelope to the OUTSIDE top of the box.
