Let Us Dream by Pope Francis
Reviewed by Mary Z Brown
For many of us, the pandemic can seem a time to despair and lose hope for many of us, but Pope Francis challenges that notion. In Let Us Dream, he calls us all to see the pandemic as a way to recognize the brokenness of this world and strive to mend it. The pandemic highlights unjust systems and inequalities that have always existed in our world, but by revealing them we now have an opportunity to address them. This book is both challenging and hopeful, encouraging us to work with others towards a more just, equitable, inclusive, and loving Church and world. This book has helped me to be further inspired by leaders in our community who have stepped up to address human needs and concerns during the pandemic and has encouraged me to step up and be a part of their missions. If you are seeking direction or a clearer mission for your life to help you move beyond in your faith, I highly recommend reading this book.
