Mask Mandate Update

May 15th, 2021 – For Immediate Release

Parish Family and Friends of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish,

As a result of the recent guidance provided by the Archdiocese of Baltimore regarding lifting the mandated mask-wearing requirement on parish campuses, we offer the following.

Effective immediately, The wearing of masks is no longer mandated in churches in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Wearing masks is still strongly encouraged for those who are not vaccinated. A 3 ft of social distance is still required inside of buildings.

To best welcome those who are just returning to campus and those who have been worshiping with us in person, we will make these accommodations for the weekend masses moving forward.

Outdoors:

We will continue to support a dedicated mask-wearing section and mask-free section at the Sunday 11 am outdoor Mass

Indoors:

The section of pews directly to the right of the icon is reserved for those who wish to wear a mask during all weekend indoor Masses. To encourage increased airflow, the exit door located closest to the Rosary Garden will remain open. Out of charity and a willingness to accommodate our neighbor, we would kindly ask that those who wish to go without a mask take advantage of seating not in this area; thank you.

Please know, we welcome the opportunity to embrace flexibility, including the grace to pivot and make changes to our rapidly changing guidelines. In the days to come, we will reassess our best practices to promote health and safety, including our guest-reservation system. As we prudently approach this work, please extend us patience and your prayers. Please count on ours in return.
