OLPH Lenten Parish Mission 2021

OLPH Lenten Parish Mission – The God We Believe In: A God Who Saves

Led by Bishop Bruce Lewandowski

Feb 22-24 at 7 pm

To Set Us Free

A resource to prepare for your parish mission, from the Redemptorists of the Baltimore Province.

We Redemptorists seek to be “apostles of Christ Jesus sent to proclaim the promise of life in him” (2 Timothy 1:1). We will speak with you plainly from God’s Word – the Bible. We will joyfully celebrate his mercy with you in the sacrament of reconciliation. And we will try to serve you in any way we can.

Last summer, Pope Francis blessed the Church of  Baltimore with a new Auxiliary Bishop in Redemptorist priest, Bruce Lewandowski.  Overshadowed by a global pandemic, not many were able to attend his ordination and can come to know how the Holy Spirit has blessed this humble, passionate shepherd. It was shortly after his ordination that the Lord placed on my heart to invite Bishop Bruce to lead our OLPH Lenten Mission. A servant for the poor, powerful preacher, and affectionately loved by his community, Bishop Bruce is a perfect fit for our parish given her Redemptorist roots and compelling commitment to serve and support outreach ministries like OLPH St. Vincent and SALT.

Bishop Lewandowski shares his own personal invitation to the Mission with these words:
“A parish mission is a special time of grace and encounter with Christ Jesus who is our Way, our Truth, and our Life.  Make a commitment these days.  Attend or view as many services -morning and evening- as you can.  During your day’s activities, center your heart on Christ.  Above all, pray for the graces you and others need.  Even add some sacrifice as a sign of your seriousness in seeking the Lord during the time of Mission.  You are the best missionary for the Mission.  Invite others to participate, especially family members or those who have been away from their faith.  You may be the person who brings someone back to God.  Pray for the success of our Parish Mission.  May it be a time of abundant grace and blessings for all.”

We are also blessed to have Bishop Lewandowski preach at all our Masses the weekend of February 20/21 where you will come to know his eloquence as God’s Witness.
Reservations for the Mission Evenings are required HERE  and I encourage you to reserve your seat for these powerful evenings to encounter our Lord in Word, Witness, and Prayer.
