Becky grew up in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, about an hour north of Philadelphia. She attended Catholic schools through grade school and high school but credited her parish youth group and Franciscan University’s summer youth conferences for setting her on the path of discipleship. As a teen, she also discovered a love for praying with music and led worship at retreats and liturgies for almost twenty years.
Becky graduated from Franciscan with a bachelor’s in Theology and Catechetics and has since worked and volunteered in various parish ministries as her vocation allows. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Trevor, they spent three years in Germany and three more in Missouri with the US Army before moving back to the east coast to pursue his doctorate at UMBC. They and their four kids have come to love life in Catonsville as members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Lamb of God School communities. They also love being outdoors together, spending as much time as they can camping, fishing, hiking, and traveling. Becky is excited for this newest chapter of her time here as the new Coordinator of Evangelization!
What do you love best about OLPH?
OLPH has always struck me as a parish “moving forward,” guided by the Holy Spirit and unafraid to try new things as it serves its current parishioners and beyond. Openness to new ideas, new ministries, and new forms of prayer keeps parish life exciting and makes us more effective as a staff as we work to meet the needs of our community.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Our family is always at our best outdoors. We love camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and our new favorite is high ropes challenge courses! I also love being part of music ministry, playing for Masses and our Festivals of Praise.
Who is one of your heroes?
I’m inspired by my Mom and Dad more and more with each passing year. Marriage and family life is beautiful and challenging, and I’m super grateful for their love, support, and example.
