Christa Weyant

Director of Pastoral Care

Hello, my name is Christa Weyant and I have the privilege of being the Director of Pastoral Care here at OLPH. I am originally from Reading, PA, and previously served as a healthcare Chaplain in hospice and hospital settings, ministering the love and hope of Christ to individuals and families in times of deepest need. My husband Andy and I have been married for sixteen years and have five beautiful children.

After discerning the call of God to serve as a minister full-time, I began a Master of Arts in Marketplace Chaplaincy and also began a Clinical Pastoral Education program, completing both of those in 2012. I am excited to be here at OLPH and love seeing all that God has done and continues to do in and through this wonderful faith community!

What do you love best about OLPH?

I love how kind and supportive the parishioners and staff are! It’s such a wonderful environment and you can really feel the love of Christ shining through everyone.”

What do you do in your free time?

“In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and five children. Some of our favorite things to do together are spending time in nature, specifically walking/hiking and kayaking. I also love to bake and try out at least one new recipe each week.”

What inspires you?

I am inspired by the lives and writings of early church fathers, as well as those of Thomas Merton and Pope Francis. Their love for Jesus that brings them to serve him and show compassion and mercy to others inspires me daily.”
