Eli Roberts

Director of Music Ministry

Eli Roberts grew up in Vienna, Virginia, in a Catholic and Jewish family. He was homeschooled until he attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he majored in composition and minored in conducting. He worked as a music teacher, a restaurant background musician, an early childhood music specialist in daycares, and as a music director for the Masses and retreats at the Boston University Catholic Center. He, his wife, and his two children moved from Boston to Ellicott city in order to be closer to family, and is excited to find a new home at OLPH!

What do you love about OLPH?
The availability of Eucharist adoration, which is the wine of life.

Why do you work for the church?
In my experience, the church treats workers much better than the world.

Who are your heroes?
Dante, for showing me more than anyone else that religion and philosophy are sweetened by art, and vice-versa.
