Laura Randazzo

Mission and Outreach

I was raised in Maryland just down the road after we moved here when I was 3 so I’ve been a Parishioner here most of my life. I went into my traveling phase in my late teens and early 20’s so my undergraduate degree is from the University of Maryland University College overseas and my graduate degree is from Johns Hopkins University. They were both in Computer Science. I’ve been a software engineer for most of my life sliding in and out of the workforce as my life required. I have four beautiful children and now a wonderful daughter-in-law and grand-daughter.

I have been blessed to be able to retire from Computer Science to work here at the Parish office as the Coordinator of Mission and Outreach. I hope to help everyone in our parish feel the love of God and feel supported in their faith journey.

I am a revert because I left the faith in my 20’s and returned to it in my early 30’s. It is a joy to be back home.

What do you love best about OLPH?

I love OLPH because of its focus on the Eucharist and obvious love of Jesus. Everyone is so friendly and you can feel how dedicated everyone is to welcome others into the parish.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my spare time, I babysit my granddaughter, exercise, read and putter about our house.

Why do you work for the church?

I work for the church because I do feel the need to spread the love of Christ. I know from my own travels spiritually, that having people around you to support you is crucial. I have felt that support throughout the years and want to share that with others. I love this parish and want it to continue to be a beacon of love throughout our community.
