Rose Napolitano

Administrative Assistant

Rose has been Catholic her whole life and is a rare Mayland native in this town of transplants. She spent her first career as an Engineer supporting the Department of Defense across various projects. Rose earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University. She was reintroduced to her husband, Rick, when they ran into each other in their twenties – apparently, God had been trying to put them together since childhood as they met first as children in the local sports club, again in high school, and even in college. They finally got the message. They raised three children who all participated in Faith Formation at OLPH and had the joy of watching their first two children be baptized at OLPH.

Rose has been a volunteer in many of the parish missions over the years. She served as an Elementary and Middle School catechist and sacramental prep for Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. She was also active in Discovering Christ, the Family Dinner Nights, and served on the Parish Council. Rose has also been a member of the Counting Team and Saint Vincent Depaul Society. Those experiences across such a variety of activities led her to her second career, serving in the parish office at the front desk.

What inspires you?

Those who find and assist others in finding God in every situation and phase of life, whether joyful, challenging, or downright painful. God is there with us through it all.

Who is your hero?

My first hero was my mother. She taught me so much about being a faithful Christian, and I often try to emulate her, especially in difficult situations. She was always positive, could find something to love in everyone, and had a truly generous and loving heart. She is my role model as a mother, grandmother, and every other aspect of my life.

What do you love about OLPH?

There is so much to love, especially how it supports every phase of spiritual growth and each individual’s personal relationship with Jesus.
