Almsgiving & Lenten Service Opportunities
Almsgiving is closely tied to fasting. What we save—whether time, money, or attention—is meant to be shared with those in need. Lent invites us to turn sacrifice into generosity.

OLPH Casserole Program
Support neighbors in need by donating a homemade casserole. Casseroles are shared with Elizabeth House/FISH in Laurel and SALT.
- Pick up pans: 1st weekend of each month
- Return casseroles: 2nd weekend of each month
- Pans from previous months are always welcome
Thank you for sharing your time and care through this ministry.
Poor Box Collections
The parish receives daily requests for assistance. Contributions to the Poor Box help support the work of OLPH St. Vincent, providing direct aid to individuals and families in need.
Your generosity makes a real and immediate difference.
Volunteer at a Lenten Soup Supper
OLPH hosts Soup Suppers on select Fridays in Lent in solidarity with those living below the margins.
- Enjoy a simple meal
- Donate what you might normally spend on a Friday night out
- Proceeds support the Poor Box
A modest supper becomes a meaningful act of charity.
