“Go, make disciples.” (Matthew 28:19)

The command to go BEYOND yourself and your own limits, to let God transform the world through you as you bring his love out to your neighbor and to the world.

Love is such a powerful experience that when we fall in love, we can’t help but share it with the world! It is why we so joyfully celebrate weddings, birthdays, and life achievements together. Similarly, disciples of Christ find themselves called to tend to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of another in the name of Christ. We are not left on our own for this mission, God has equipped us for this desire to go BEYOND with the necessary talents, passions, and spiritual gifts. The parish is excited to accompany you in discovering your life’s purpose so that you may live your unique life out on a mission for the Lord and serve your brothers and sisters in his name.

Outreach Ministries – SALT, OLPH St Vincent
SALT and OLPH St Vincent are two dedicated ministries of the parish committed to reaching out to our local community to provide resources to those in need. OLPH St Vincent meets on the 2nd Monday of every month in the Parish Center and welcomes new members at every meeting. SALT is a hands-on parish ministry that puts Jesus’ words into action by serving the hungry and needy of Baltimore City and Howard County in a direct, relational way by preparing meals and serving the hungry. There are many ways to serve through the SALT ministry. Interested in either ministry? Click here to get connected.
Music Ministry
We are always looking for new members to join the traditional choir and children’s choir. These volunteer choirs are open to all those who love to sing! There is no audition required. We are also in need of singers with a classical/ traditional music background that can serve as a cantor at the 11:00 Mass. Additionally, we welcome Children and Youth into the Music Ministry. If you are under the age of 18 or you have a family member under the age of 18 that would like to serve in Music Ministry, we have a place for you! We have several different groups that lead contemporary worship music at Mass and the monthly Festival of Praise. Each group leader is responsible for auditioning new members. We are always open to welcome new singers and instrumentalists. We are especially in need of PIANISTS that can play by ear/ chords/ lead sheets to serve at the 4:30, 9:00, and 5:00 Masses. These groups are auditioned ensembles. Please prayerfully consider using your talents to elevate the beauty of the Mass and lead others closer to Jesus through song. Click the here to serve in OLPH’s Music Ministry.
Discipleship Formation – Peer Ministry/Catechist
Help our youngest members and youth meet and get to know Jesus in creative and relevant ways. As a High Schooler or Adult, you can make the difference in the next generation as a High School PEER MINISTER to our Middle School Youth or ADULT CATECHIST in our Elementary Discipleship Formation program. PEER MINISTRY – Help lead our middle schoolers to experience the all-encompassing love of God and get them serious about their faith at Sunday IMPACT throughout the year. Go even further beyond and offer a strong fiery witness to the 9th graders preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation by helping at prep classes Sunday nights January-March and by serving on the confirmation retreat. If you have received the sacrament of Confirmation, are active in ongoing faith formation, and willing to provide a positive influence and authentic witness of Christ’s love in the world, then get connected with our Youth Minister HERE to get started as a PEER MINISTERADULT CATECHIST – One does not need to be a trained theologian to be a CATECHIST, just someone who is willing to share his/her love of God and the Catholic faith, and who is willing to walk with our youngest OLPH members and help reveal God’s presence in their lives. As a Catechist, you will lead a class in prepared lessons and help families to integrate their faith into their everyday lives. Interested in Becoming a PEER MINISTER or CATECHIST Click here.
