All of the OLPH groups and ministries that serve the poor and bereaved welcome your prayers. Please remember them when you pray, especially when you visit Adoration.

Our Sister Parishes

Please pray for Our Lady of Nativity in Verrettes, Haiti, and Saint Veronica’s in Cherry Hill, Baltimore.

Catonsville 40 Days for Life

Pray with the Catonsville 40 Days for Life campaign, which runs each year from the first week of March to the second week of April.

Back to School Supply Drive

Our Community Outreach Ministry collects school supplies for area children whose families cannot afford them. Watch the bulletin for details.

Families Helping Families at Thanksgiving

Donors purchase specific holiday food items, including turkeys, and return them to the Narthex on collection weekend so each family in need has a complete holiday meal. Cash donations of $25 are also welcome.

Advent Giving Tree

Choose a gift tag from the trees in the Narthex, purchase the item, and return it wrapped on Giving Tree Collection weekend. Tags are available starting Christ the King weekend, with gifts due over the following two weeks.

Camp St. Vincent Supply Drive

We collect supplies for Camp St. Vincent, an all-day summer camp serving the learning and social-emotional needs of homeless children ages 5 to 14 in Baltimore City and County.

OLPH Food Pantry

Our food pantry is open to anyone experiencing food insecurity, and all inquiries are confidential. If you are in need, please call the Parish Office. To give, place non-expired, non-perishable food in the pantry at the back of the church.

Food and Toiletries for SALT

Every weekend, SALT teams serve a hot breakfast to the hungry in Baltimore City. They also collect toiletries for their friends; travel-size shampoo, soap and lotion are especially appreciated. Place items in a bag labeled “SALT” inside the food pantry at the back of the church.

Our Sister Parish in Haiti

Help feed the children and support teachers’ salaries at our sister parish in Verrettes, Haiti. Mail a check to Our Lady of Perpetual Help with “Haiti” in the memo, or set up a recurring gift online.

West Baltimore Pregnancy Choices

A center that helps pregnant women in West Baltimore. Learn more or donate directly on their website.

Help from Home

Hectic schedule? You can serve right from your own kitchen.

Casserole Program

Each month, parishioners bake casseroles and desserts for FISH of Laurel and Elizabeth House. Drop them in the Parish Center kitchen freezer by 11:00 am on the second Sunday of the month.

Cook for SALT

Prepare meals for the food-insecure and homeless, distributed in Baltimore City through OLPH’s SALT Ministry.

Join the Meal Team

A warm, homemade meal can bring real comfort when life gets hard. Join the Meal Team, and when a family in need arises, you’ll receive a signup form. Pick a day and time that suits you, prepare a meal, and deliver it to the family.

Solemnity Bakers

Bake homemade goods for Solemnity Masses and other parish gatherings.

Help at Church and Beyond

Have an hour to give at OLPH? Call the Parish Office at 410-747-4334 to learn more.

Baby Bottle Drive

Help distribute baby bottles for a fund drive that aids local shelters assisting vulnerable pregnant women. Keep an eye on the bulletin for seasonal drives in the spring.

Sort Giving Tree Gifts

Help sort donated Giving Tree gifts for distribution. Call the Parish Office at 410-747-4334 or email olphparish@archbalt.org if you have an hour.

Families Helping Families

Help shop for and organize Thanksgiving food donations, then distribute the completed boxes to families in need.

Mass Ministry

Serve at Mass as a sacristan, lector, altar server, Eucharistic minister, minister of hospitality, or A/V tech.

Hospital & Homebound Visits

Bring friendship and Holy Communion to parishioners who are ill or homebound.

Gardening Team

Help keep our campus beautiful and welcoming for everyone who visits.

Care of God’s House

Offer a little extra care for our chapel and sanctuary through light cleaning.

Families with Young Children

Serving together is a beautiful way to grow in faith as a family.

Serve Together at Home

• Pray with your children for those less fortunate.
• Make a casserole or dessert together. See the Our Daily Bread casserole recipe.
• Pack bag lunches and snack kits for SALT. Email SaltAtOlph@gmail.com to get started.
• Spiritually adopt a baby together. Learn how.

Kids Love to Sort and Help

Details are shared in the weekly bulletin.

• Early November: sort the Families Helping Families food boxes.
• Late November to early December: make greeting cards for donated holiday food and gifts.
• Early December: sort Giving Tree gifts.
• Saturdays at 6:45 am: join the SALT kitchen crew bagging donuts and food for the homeless of Baltimore City.
